Job Description: Position Title: Facilities & Shop Support Technician Date: July 2026 Department: Operations Reports to: Operations Supervisor Job Summary: Provide facility, janitorial, and general shop support for QCMI by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Services Scope & Skills: Understands internal processes and basic equipment maintenance. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper application, handling, and disposal. Highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments. High energy with a strong work ethic. Team player with a positive attitude. Flexible and willing to perform a variety of duties as assigned. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Mechanically inclined. Handy with basic hand and power tools. Preferred forklift experience or ability to become forklift certified. Preferred landscaping or grounds maintenance experience. Ability to safely lift up to 45 pounds and push, pull, carry, and move materials throughout the facility with or without reasonable accommodation. May occasionally be required to work overtime or more than eight (8) hours per day. Responsibilities & Duties: Work independently with minimal supervision. Perform general janitorial duties throughout the facility, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, production areas, and common spaces. Clean machined parts as assigned. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. Perform general facility upkeep and minor maintenance tasks as assigned. Assist with landscaping and exterior facility maintenance. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other authorized material handling equipment when trained and certified. Safely operate and maintain all company equipment for which authorization has been provided. Comply with all company safety policies, quality procedures, and documentation requirements. Work in partnership with the Operations Supervisor, Quality Department, and Engineering Department to ensure quality standards are met and maintained. If a quality concern is identified, immediately stop work and notify your supervisor and the Quality Department. Assist with organizing materials, moving inventory, and supporting production departments as needed. Provide training and assistance to coworkers when requested. Perform other duties as assigned.
