Job Description

Overview

VitalCore Health Strategies is looking for a Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) Clinician to join their team at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, Delaware. The role involves providing therapeutic services to male and female patients classified for sex offender treatment. Candidates must possess relevant licensure or be actively working towards it.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform group therapy interventions and individual treatment planning for clients
  • Conduct Sexual Risk Assessment Interviews and write assessments
  • Complete Discharge Summaries for clients post-treatment
  • Assist in planning and implementing program goals and objectives
  • Prepare necessary documentation, records, treatment notes, and reports
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required
  • Work towards obtaining credentialing with the Delaware Sex Offender Management Board

Required skills

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling
  • Direct experience providing therapy to the sex offender population
  • Licensed as LCSW or LPCMH, or actively working towards licensure
  • Familiarity with Sexual Risk Tools such as Static99r, STABLE-2007, and ISORA
  • Experience implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Trauma-informed care experience
  • Background working with a forensic population
