Job Description

Overview

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Sex Offender Treatment Program Clinician to join their team at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, Delaware. The clinician will work with male and female patients classified for sex offender treatment, providing therapy and assessments while adhering to the requirements for licensure and credentialing.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform group therapy interventions and individual treatment planning for clients
  • Conduct Sexual Risk Assessment Interviews and write Sexual Risk and Needs Assessments
  • Complete Discharge Summaries for client's post-treatment participation
  • Assist in planning and implementing program goals and objectives
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, treatment notes, and reports
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required to complete credentialing for the Delaware Sex Offender Management Board

Required skills

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling
  • Experience providing therapy to the sex offender population
  • Licensed (LCSW, LPCMH) or actively working toward a license
  • Experience with Sexual Risk Tools such as Static99r, STABLE-2007, and ISORA
  • Knowledge in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed care
