Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at AmeriGas, you will be responsible for installing and repairing propane tanks for both commercial and residential customers. The role requires a focus on safety and customer service while operating a propane service vehicle on established routes.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom
  • Repair existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Perform delivery representative functions as needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations
  • Consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
