Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at AmeriGas, you will be an essential part of a leading propane distributor, responsible for the safe installation and repair of propane tanks for both residential and commercial customers. The role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom
  • Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
  • Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
  • Deliver bulk or canister propane when needed
  • Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations, as well as AmeriGas safety policies
  • Use required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on needs

Required skills

  • Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Completion of DOT physical, drug test, and background check
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
