Job Description

Overview

As a Service Technician at BH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and overseeing the physical assets of the properties. This position involves diagnosing problems, making general repairs, assisting with apartment make-readies, and participating in preventive maintenance and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Use industry-specific technology to complete repairs and replacements timely.
  • Complete maintenance requests, including HVAC troubleshooting and upkeep of common areas.
  • Identify and report hazardous conditions to the Community Manager.
  • Follow and document preventive maintenance programs per BH guidelines.
  • Maintain and secure all property-issued tools.
  • Post notices and community communications as applicable.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the maintenance team.
  • Respond to resident requests per company standards.
  • Comply with OSHA and other safety requirements.

Required skills

  • Six months to one year of general maintenance and safety experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must provide own industry-specific hand tools.
