Job Description

Overview

The Service Technician at BH will be responsible for overseeing the physical assets of the property while ensuring customer satisfaction. This role includes diagnosing problems, making repairs, assisting with apartment make-readies, and supporting preventive maintenance and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Use technology to complete repairs and replacements timely to restore units to move-in ready condition.
  • Complete maintenance requests, replacements, and upkeep including exterior grounds and common areas.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC issues and assist with apartment make-readies.
  • Identify and report hazardous conditions to the Community Manager and Service Manager.
  • Follow and document established preventive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain and secure property-issued tools.
  • Respond to resident requests as per company standards.
  • Comply with safety requirements and regulations.

Required skills

  • Six months to one year of general maintenance and safety experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC.
  • Ability to provide own industry-specific hand tools.
  • High School or GED is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks.
