Maintain tax records and prepare income tax returns, related schedules, and reports for federal, state, and local levels. Prepare all necessary electronic workpaper documentation for income tax filings at the federal, state, and local levels. Extensive use of computer based technologies to maintain and expand efficiencies and accuracy. This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.Your Impact Maintains tax records and prepares income tax returns and related schedulesPrepares electronic workpapers for federal, state and local income tax returnsCollects, compiles and analyzes corporate financial information in order to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely corporate income tax returns relying heavily on the use of computer applications to do soStays abreast of tax issues relevant to the company by participating in webcasts and research servicesClarifies supporting tax documentation where necessary with internal process ownersOrganizes and maintains the company's business records through preparation of journal entries, reports and detailed analysis of accountsSenior Accountants are fully-qualified, seasoned professionals with a full understanding of the job role who work on complicated issues facing the departmentThey receive general instruction on new assignments and minimal direction in day-to-day workThey typically report to Managers or Senior ManagersAbout You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, plus 5 years of related experiencePrior work experience in a Public Accounting firm or large corporate tax departmentPreparation of IRS form 1120 for large corporate taxpayersPreparation of a high volume of state and local income tax returns, including experience with multi-state apportionment and state modificationsRequires general corporate income tax provision experience and knowledge of GAAP/IFRSDemonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, extending beyond basic data entry, including the practical application and diagnostic understanding of complex formulas and functionsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamProven problem solving and analytical skillsAttention to detailOneSource experience a plusOracle experience a plusCPA preferred but not required We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $76,150 - $114,040 annually.Company Overview About our Company - Canon U.S.A., Inc., is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions to the United States and to Latin America and the Caribbean markets.
