The Senior Tax Accountant will prepare and review sales and use tax returns for multi-states, to comply with state and local regulations. This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.Your Impact Prepare and review journal entries and perform account reconciliations, identify account variances and determine corrective actionReview purchase invoices to determine taxability and review use tax accruals for accuracyReview customers' sales tax exemption certificate, based on state requirements and perform system updates Vertex and Canon's ERP system (S21).Maintain setups in Vertex O series system for sales and purchase transactionsPrepare support documents for requests from external auditorsResearch tax rules and regulations for various sales and purchase transactions and remain current with tax law changesEvaluate policies and procedures and suggest improvements where necessary, and assist with Robotics Process Automation (RPA) projectsOperate independently with general direction from managerAbout You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, plus 5 years of related experience, CPA helpful5+ years of multi-state sales tax accounting experienceRequires general accounting work experience and knowledge of GAAPProficiency with Vertex Returns, or similar tax management system requiredOracle and Tableau experience a plusStrong Excel skills requiredAbility to work independently and interact well with others We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $76,150 - $114,040 annually.Company Overview About our Company - Canon U.S.A., Inc., is a leading provider of consumer, business-to-business, and industrial digital imaging solutions to the United States and to Latin America and the Caribbean markets.
