Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for their Mission Networks Division in Malabar, Florida. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of SysML-based system models to support mission-critical infrastructure and services while leveraging Agile Systems Engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform system analysis activities including scope definition and requirements development
  • Develop and maintain SysML models for system architecture and behavior
  • Create architecture and data models using SysML and related frameworks
  • Produce model-derived outputs and technical documentation
  • Participate in Agile planning and technical assessments
  • Facilitate technical exchange meetings with stakeholders
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure design quality and mission alignment
  • Contribute to the execution of the IRAD technical roadmap

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience or Graduate Degree with 4 years of experience, or 10 years
  • 5 years of experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML
  • Proficiency with Cameo Systems Modeler and Teamwork Cloud
  • Experience across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
