Job Description

Overview

The Senior Salesforce Engineer at Midland States Bank is responsible for designing, integrating, building, and maintaining Salesforce-based Sales and Financial Services solutions. This role supports business objectives by ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions using the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable Salesforce Financial Services Cloud solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend technical solutions to enhance functionality.
  • Manage Salesforce system administration, including custom objects and validation rules.
  • Implement automation through workflows and approval processes.
  • Ensure data governance and quality standards adherence.
  • Design and execute test plans for solution validation.
  • Lead Salesforce integrations and maintain information flow across systems.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
  • Support automations and workflows for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Stay current on Salesforce updates and industry best practices.
  • Present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of Salesforce experience, including 3+ years with Financial Services Cloud.
  • Experience with Salesforce Industries OmniStudio and deployment in banking environments.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing methodologies.
  • Experience with Salesforce tech stack (administration, JavaScript, Lightning, Apex, Visualforce).
  • Experience with analysis/reporting tools such as Salesforce, SAS BI, or Tableau.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of API and REST.
  • Knowledge of database architecture and ITIL or SDLC methodologies.
