Overview

Metromont is seeking a Senior Project Drafter to join their team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will design and prepare detailed erection drawings and shop tickets for complex projects, utilizing CAD technology and leading a team of project drafters. Metromont has a strong history in the construction industry, providing innovative precast solutions across various sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and prepare electronic (CAD) erection drawings, shop tickets, and material requisitions from contract drawings and engineering calculations
  • Provide leadership and direction to project drafters
  • Interface with departmental personnel to obtain details of equipment and materials requirements
  • Consult with engineers and project managers to resolve questions
  • Revise CAD designs and documents to comply with project changes
  • Coordinate drafting work with engineers and architects
  • Serve as a lead in providing direction to drafters
  • Review work of Project Drafters and report to Drafting Manager

Required skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Experience in drafting and design engineering
  • Knowledge of Revit preferred
  • Minimum two years drafting experience
  • Strong communication skills
