This role oversees payroll processing across salaried, hourly, and stipend-based populations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and international payroll regulations.Oversee full-cycle payroll processing with a focus on accuracy and timelinessManage and mentor payroll staff, including training and performance oversightEnsure compliance across multi-state payroll and applicable tax regulationsReview payroll inputs including timekeeping, compensation changes, and deductionsLead payroll audits and maintain data integrity within payroll systemsSupport reporting and continuous process improvementsOversee payroll compliance for foreign national workforce, including specialized tax reportingMaintain international tax systems and related documentation processes5 years of progressive payroll experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulations Experience with payroll systems such as Workday, UKG, or similar Advanced Excel proficiency Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldCertified Payroll Professional (CPP)Experience with multi-state and/or international payrollExposure to complex or global payroll environmentsDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
