Overview

The Senior Manager, Data Science - AI Foundations at Capital One will lead a team focused on creating AI and ML solutions that enhance customer experiences in their financial lives. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products powered by advanced technologies, while leveraging large volumes of data to unlock insights.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products
  • Leverage technologies such as Pytorch, AWS Ultraclusters, and Hugging Face for data analysis
  • Expertly utilize Natural Language Processing to adapt Large Language Models for customer applications
  • Build and operationalize machine learning and NLP models for scalable production systems
  • Translate complex data insights into business goals for stakeholders

Required skills

  • Experience in data analytics, with a quantitative degree in fields like Statistics or Computer Science
  • Proficiency in open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis
  • At least 2 years experience in machine learning and with relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with large language models and advanced ML technologies
  • Expertise in Python, Scala, or R, and SQL
