Work Environment As a physical health therapist at our rehabilitation center, you will work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest technologies and rehabilitation tools. The center offers an encouraging and supportive environment, fostering professional collaboration and patient engagement. Most of your work will occur onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients and medical teams. Regular business hours are expected, although occasional evening shifts may be required to meet patient needs, particularly during peak times. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough evaluations and screenings to assess the physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs of patients, developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to aid in recovery.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes, maintaining detailed documentation of patient interactions and treatment effectiveness.Collaborate regularly with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, medical practitioners, and mental health specialists, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.Lead patient education sessions and group therapy initiatives, teaching self-management techniques and promoting healthy lifestyles that contribute to recovery.Participate in outreach programs aimed at educating the community about physical health and wellness, further enhancing our center's service visibility. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient population consists primarily of individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions, as well as those needing support for mental health challenges that may affect physical well-being. You will be working with diverse patients who require tailored therapeutic interventions, making your role critical in bridging physical rehabilitation with holistic mental health support. QualificationsLicensed Physical Therapist with an active state license to practice in California.Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field; advanced degrees are preferred.Strong understanding of various physical therapy practices and modalities appropriate for rehabilitation settings.Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, showcasing collaboration and a unified approach to patient care. Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience within a rehabilitation center or hospital setting is highly desirable.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar documentation tools.Experience in developing community outreach programs or wellness initiatives.
