Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer for GenAI Platform Services at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in developing responsible and reliable AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to create AI-driven products and optimize large-scale production systems, ensuring they meet high performance and scalability standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies for building solutions.
  • Invent LLM optimization techniques to improve production AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 6 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Leadership experience in mentoring and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex AI concepts.
