Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer in Capital One's Gen AI Platform Services, you will be instrumental in creating responsible AI systems that redefine banking experiences. You will work alongside engineers, research scientists, and product managers to build AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and streamline associate workflows. This role emphasizes the development and deployment of scalable AI solutions, leveraging advanced technologies to improve banking services.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Utilize Open Source and SaaS AI technologies for development.
  • Invent and introduce LLM optimization techniques for production AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap for foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficient in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Expertise in designing and supporting complex AI systems.
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
