Overview

The Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One will work on creating responsible and reliable AI systems that transform banking experiences. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products and support the AI infrastructure that enhances customer interactions and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies for large scale production systems
  • Implement state-of-the-art optimization techniques for AI systems
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields
  • At least 6 years of experience in developing AI/ML algorithms
  • Programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
