We take pride in the longevity of our employees and are committed to providing a supportive work environment, competitive compensation, and excellent benefits.As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team.Position OverviewThe Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and complete estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. This role works closely with suppliers, subcontractors, project management, and company leadership to develop competitive bids and support successful project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesReview proposal specifications and drawings to determine project scope and estimate requirementsPrepare complete project takeoffs and enter estimates into the estimating software systemReview estimate calculations for accuracy and completenessRequest pricing from suppliers for equipment and materialsIdentify qualified suppliers and subcontractors and solicit quotationsReview quotes for completeness and compliance with plans and specificationsItemize and quantify materials, equipment rentals, tools, supplies, and subcontracted work required for bidsProvide detailed bid reviews, including scope, technical requirements, and pricing, prior to submissionParticipate in project turnover meetings and communicate estimate details to Project ManagementComplete all required client documentation in a timely mannerPrepare scope letters, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimatesMaintain organized estimating files and supporting documentationRequired Experience & QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience estimating commercial electrical construction projectsExperience using Accubid Classic or Accubid EnterpriseExperience with LiveCount software preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsStrong mathematical and analytical skillsAbility to interpret computerized cost data and estimating systemsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge of electrical estimating practices, construction technology, and industry methodsAbility to identify and meet customer requirements and project expectationsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional communication and collaboration with clients, vendors, management, and field personnelBenefits401(k)Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementWork LocationThis is an in-person position based in Lorton, Virginia.Why Join GT Electric Service?Established company with over 30 years in businessLong-term career opportunities with a growing organizationCompetitive compensation and benefits packageTeam-oriented culture that values employee success and professional growthEqual Opportunity EmployerGT Electric Service is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
