Job Description

Overview

Taitem Engineering is seeking a Senior Commissioning Agent with a minimum of five years of experience to lead and support commissioning projects across various sectors, including schools and healthcare. This role offers the chance to engage in impactful projects that promote sustainability and decarbonization, while also contributing to measurement and verification initiatives with cutting-edge technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Leader for commissioning projects
  • Create commissioning plans, documentation, reports, and client manuals
  • Act as liaison between engineering teams, construction contractors, and owners
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during equipment testing phase
  • Support the Cx and M&V Service Manager in developing additional leads and RFP responses
  • Complete projects on time and on budget
  • Review the technical work of others for accuracy
  • Support Measurement & Verification (M&V) projects, including development of M&V plans
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal project teams
  • Be available for occasional after-hours work

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in commissioning building systems
  • Knowledge of NYS codes, standards, and methods
  • Experience with various commissioning and verification certifications
  • Ability to design and implement data collection systems
  • Experience with large datasets and data interpretation
  • Project management skills including budget and schedule management
  • Knowledge of building energy systems and building science
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office, particularly Excel
