Overview

As a Senior Associate in SEC Accounting at Capital One, you will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing financial reporting. You will lead automation initiatives and enhance user experiences by serving as a liaison between business strategy and technology, while also supporting day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Finance teams in understanding core technology capabilities
  • Design, configure, test, implement, and support technical and business solutions for external reporting systems
  • Analyze and write business requirements for enterprise and team initiatives
  • Craft epics and stories for technology partners in an agile environment
  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, and escalations
  • Support complex troubleshooting and testing efforts across various platforms
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and share updates with leadership
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues while making future-focused recommendations

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of accounting or SEC reporting experience
  • At least 1 year of experience with Financial Systems
  • At least 2 years of Workiva Wdesk experience (preferred)
  • At least 1 year translating business strategy into consumer-facing digital products (preferred)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
