Overview

As a Senior Associate in SEC Accounting at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing financial reporting by leading automation initiatives and enhancing the user experience of financial reporting systems like Workiva. This position involves collaboration with stakeholders to support day-to-day operations and maximize the value derived from technological solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Finance teams in understanding technology capabilities and their impact
  • Design, configure, test, implement, and support solutions for external reporting systems
  • Analyze business requirements and create epics and stories for technology partners
  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, dependencies, and escalations
  • Support troubleshooting and testing efforts across multiple platforms
  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide updates
  • Resolve issues proactively and recommend future state solutions
  • Continuously seek opportunities for learning and improvement

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • 1 year of accounting experience or SEC reporting experience
  • 1 year of experience with Financial Systems
  • 2 years of Workiva Wdesk experience (preferred)
  • Experience in translating business strategy into digital products
  • 1 year working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
