Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Fisher Investments, you will be a key member of the Corporate Accounting Team, responsible for maintaining financial record integrity, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. You will collaborate with various finance functions and contribute to financial statement audits and regulatory filings.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and execute ongoing accounting processes and month-end close activities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable local standards
  • Drive system and process improvements for accounting efficiency
  • Provide task-based feedback to preparers
  • Partner with finance teams to optimize data flows and reporting
  • Create and analyze financial statements
  • Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit deliverables
  • Support financial regulatory filings according to applicable rules

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in public and/or corporate accounting
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and audit standards
  • Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
  • CPA or progress toward certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
