Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Fisher Investments, you will be a key player in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting month-end close activities within the Corporate Accounting Team. This role involves collaboration across finance functions and contributions to annual financial statement audits and regulatory filings.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and execute ongoing accounting processes and month-end close activities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable local standards
  • Drive system and process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide task-based feedback to foster ongoing improvement across accounting functions
  • Partner with other finance teams to optimize data flows, processes, and reporting
  • Create and analyze financial statements
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful completion of annual financial statement audits
  • Research and support financial regulatory filings

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in public and/or corporate accounting
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with audit standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with sophisticated accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
