Overview

As a Seasonal Deli Associate at Aramark, you'll engage in cooking and food preparation, bringing recipes to life while showcasing your creativity with a variety of cuisines and cooking methods. This role prioritizes health and safety, ensuring adherence to food safety policies and procedures in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with required ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
  • Safely use utensils including knives and operate kitchen equipment
  • Apply various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • Store food properly by adhering to food safety policies
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests and coworkers
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper food safety and sanitation

Required skills

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
