Overview

The Seasonal Auto Glass Repair Specialist at Safelite is responsible for using industry-leading technology to repair vehicle glass, ensuring the highest quality standards. This position offers a chance for seasonal employment with the opportunity for a full-time role based on performance, encouraging personal growth and career development.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn and apply the Safelite Way of Fitting to repair vehicle glass with guidance from experienced technicians.
  • Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass issues on customer vehicles.
  • Manage work orders and customer documentation using Safelite's Mobile Resource Management technology.
  • Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
  • Clean customer vehicles during idle time and perform housekeeping tasks.
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, and use company-issued tools and chemicals.
  • Comply with all company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • On-the-job training and completion of Safelite SafeTech certification
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs and assist with heavier items
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform policies
