Overview

The Sanitation Supervisor at Butterball will guide sanitation efforts throughout the facility while ensuring compliance with food safety and safety standards. This role involves training team members, overseeing sanitation practices, and collaborating with different departments to troubleshoot issues and improve policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of a sanitation team
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members
  • Participate in HR activities like hiring and performance management
  • Enforce systems, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for team member training on safety regulations
  • Conduct routine assessments and audits of sanitation programs
  • Develop and implement sanitation practices and training materials
  • Monitor cleaning systems to ensure optimal cleanliness
  • Collaborate with management to address sanitation issues
  • Manage the department's operating budget and resources

Required skills

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in sanitation practices
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Experience in food manufacturing sanitation
  • Problem-solving skills including root cause analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good computer application skills
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
