Overview

The Sanitation Supervisor at Butterball is responsible for guiding sanitation practices throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with food safety and safety standards. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading a team of entry-level sanitation workers to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of the sanitation team.
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
  • Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, and performance management.
  • Monitors and adjusts cleaning systems and procedures.
  • Conducts routine assessments of cleaning and sanitation program effectiveness.
  • Implements chemical/sanitation safety programs.
  • Collaborates with management to troubleshoot sanitation problems.
  • Ensures sanitation team understands and adheres to safety regulations.
  • Trains production team members on sanitation issues.

Required skills

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in sanitation management
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
  • Good understanding of sanitation processes and best practices
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Experience in food manufacturing environment
  • Skilled in problem-solving and root cause analysis
