Overview

As a Sanitation Operations Manager at LSG Sky Chefs in Minneapolis, you'll be a key leader responsible for the effective operation of the Sanitation department. This role requires oversight of large teams in a high-paced environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategically manage daily operations, schedules, productivity, quality, and safety of the department
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards including FDA and HACCP
  • Address customer quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Oversee manpower planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Drive continuous optimization of processes
  • Guide and develop subordinate employees and implement career development activities
  • Participate in company-sponsored initiatives like Global Quality Standard and Lean Manufacturing

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of management experience in related fields
  • Experience with Variable Production Systems and schedules
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Proven track record in process improvement and leading change
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
