Overview

The Sanitation Day position at FreshPoint South Florida is responsible for general custodial and sanitation activities within the warehouse under supervision. Key tasks include maintaining sanitary conditions, performing cleaning duties, and supporting warehouse operations safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform custodial duties including dusting, sweeping, washing, and mopping
  • Maintain sanitary conditions by disposing of trash and cleaning up spills
  • Scrub floors and clean cooler areas and docks
  • Complete daily sanitation logs for documentation
  • Support recycling programs by managing materials and operating equipment
  • Ensure cleanliness of assigned work areas and report unsafe conditions
  • Operate material handling equipment safely
  • Comply with all company policies and safety regulations

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 year of warehouse-related experience or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Mathematical skills for basic calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds
