Overview

Better Living Inc is looking for a motivated Sales Support specialist in Charlottesville, Virginia, who will play a crucial role in connecting building materials with professionals in the construction industry. This position involves supporting the sales team and providing excellent customer service while fostering long-term career growth in a stable, family-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist outside and inside sales representatives by preparing quotes and proposals
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers and handle phone inquiries
  • Develop a working knowledge of building materials for customer guidance
  • Accurately enter and process sales orders into the system
  • Process returns/credits and assist with general office duties
  • Learn from experienced sales staff and build towards a commissioned salesperson position

Required skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority quotes and orders
  • Familiarity with industry-specific POS and inventory software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods
