Overview

Roadside Maintenance TechnicianAbacus Staffing is seeking dedicated and hardworking Roadside Maintenance Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of roadways, highways, and surrounding areas. This is an essential position that ensures the safety and aesthetic quality of our transportation infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance tasks such as litter removal, vegetation control, and debris clearance from roadways and shoulders.Repair and maintain guardrails, signs, and other roadside infrastructure.Operate and maintain various types of equipment including mowers, trimmers, and light construction vehicles.Assist with emergency road repairs, such as filling potholes, repairing road surfaces, and addressing drainage issues.Set up and manage traffic control measures to ensure the safety of work zones.Respond to emergency situations such as road spills, vehicle accidents, and severe weather conditions.Inspect roadways for damage or hazards and report issues to supervisors.Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects efficiently and safely.Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license.Experience in road maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely.Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and standing for long periods.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.Benefits Included:Full major medical UHC (80/20%).PTO (up to 88 hours accrued FIRST YEAR, up to 128 hours after 2 years).PAID holidays.STD/LTD, Life/AD&D, Dental, Vision.Schedule:Monday - FridayShift B 11:00am - 7:30pmPlease call Abacus Staffing if interested and available
