Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, performing nursing procedures, and advocating for patients to ensure an unparalleled patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes in status.
  • Perform procedures as ordered by medical providers.
  • Document care administration in patient medical records timely and thoroughly.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in patient care and nursing
