Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with medical providers to deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, while advocating for patients to enhance their experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record timely and thoroughly.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in care.

Required skills

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in nursing
