Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The role involves pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocating for patients to support an exceptional patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and shift changes
  • Perform procedures or functions as ordered by medical providers
  • Document administration of care in the medical record
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical care

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Patient care and nursing skills
  • Documentation and communication skills
