Job Description

Overview

Maxim Healthcare Services is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential patient care and demonstrate clinical judgment in a pediatric private duty nursing role in Harpers Ferry, WV. The RN will be responsible for applying the nursing process, evaluating patient care, and ensuring proper documentation under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Assess signs and symptoms of physiological and psychosocial changes in patients
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare members and document nursing diagnoses
  • Document the patient's plan of care with identified nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes
  • Perform nursing interventions according to priorities and hospital policies
  • Revise the plan of care based on evaluations and changes in the medical plan
  • Establish priorities to meet patient care needs for the assigned unit
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current Health Certificate
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
  • Current BLS card
  • One year prior RN experience preferred
