Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) at MedNorth Health Center plays a crucial role in connecting patients with their care teams while facilitating access to immediate care. This position involves conducting triage, assessing patient needs, and managing clinical care to ensure that patients receive appropriate healthcare services.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between patients, care teams, and the Patient Access Team.
  • Conduct telephonic and face-to-face patient assessments for triage.
  • Initiate emergency treatment as necessary.
  • Manage clinical care and support services for in-person and telephone patients.
  • Document and communicate triage decisions to patient care providers.
  • Administer prescribed medications and document them in the EMR.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and monitor project outcomes.
  • Assist in the implementation of state and government funding programs.
  • Participate in departmental operational planning and training/development of staff.
  • Respond to codes and emergencies promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and complete training requirements.
