Overview

The RN, L&D (Per Diem, Nights) at Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, Oregon is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients' health problems in collaboration with the healthcare team. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care specifically for labor and delivery patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform multi-system assessments, including biophysical and psychosocial evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individual nursing care plans sensitive to patient needs.
  • Coordinate patient care activities with healthcare disciplines.
  • Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
  • Evaluate the patient’s response to treatment and participate in quality assurance activities.

Required skills

  • Minimum one year of Labor and Delivery experience in the last three years.
  • Registered Nurse License in Oregon and Washington or compact license.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Computer keyboarding skills and effective communication skills.
