Job Description

Overview

The RN in the Inpatient Cath Lab at Kaiser Permanente will work under general supervision to provide nursing care for patients by assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating their care in collaboration with the healthcare team. This temporary role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to coordinate care activities effectively.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform accurate multi-system assessments of patients
  • Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests
  • Develop individual nursing plans of care tailored to patient needs
  • Coordinate patient care activities with other health care departments
  • Document patient care accurately in the EMR
  • Initiate appropriate measures based on protocols for medical and surgical patients
  • Evaluate patients' responses to treatment
  • Participate in unit quality assurance activities

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center Certificate in Cardiac Vascular Nursing, Radiology Nurse, Registered Cardiovascular
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Minimum nine months of RN experience
  • Experience in cardiovascular lab or critical care settings
  • Computer keyboarding skills
  • Procedural sedation experience
