Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder) to join their team in Dover, Delaware. This role is vital in delivering exceptional service to pet parents while supporting associate development and maintaining store standards. The position emphasizes leadership, customer experience, and operational excellence within the pet retail environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching for growth
  • Drive pet parent experience strategies through loyalty and promotions
  • Manage and address associate complaints and grievances
  • Oversee live pet sales and adoptions, ensuring compliance with policies
  • Conduct store events and coordinate marketing for adoptions and vet partnerships
  • Ensure store cleanliness and safety for associates and pets
  • Prepare online orders for store pick-up and provide positive customer interactions
  • Act as a point-of-sale backup and handle cash transactions
  • Assist in other departments as necessary

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
