Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Respiratory Care Therapist to join their team at the Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This full-time role involves providing patient care through respiratory therapy protocols and requires the therapist to manage complex clinical situations including ventilator support and airway management.

Key responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care using respiratory therapy protocols
  • Partners with a multidisciplinary team to achieve care outcomes
  • Models proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff
  • Contributes to safety and quality at the point of care
  • Manages ventilator integration and adaptive pulmonary support

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • State licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • CPR certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification
  • PALS certification
  • Teamwork in a healthcare setting
