Overview

Baker Truck Service is seeking a Residuals Tender to efficiently manage the flow of residuals (wood chips) from bins to trailers. This role involves operating a yard truck to reposition trailers for loading and unloading while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Control and maintain residual flow from bins to trailers
  • Operate yard truck to reposition trailers
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations
  • Keep work area clean during and after shifts
  • Stage trailers for ease of pickup
  • Report maintenance problems to Mechanic Shop and Maintenance Department
  • Perform all other assigned duties

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A, CDL
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand printed materials
  • Ability to adapt to various weather conditions and noisy environments
  • Physical capability to perform duties with repetitious movement
