Overview

Smithville Communications is seeking motivated and outgoing individuals to join their team as Residential Fiber Sales Representatives in Ellettsville, Indiana. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule and involves engaging with potential customers in local neighborhoods to sell fiber internet service packages.

Key responsibilities

  • Knock on at least 70 doors a day to prospect for sales
  • Close at least two new residential subscribers daily
  • Educate potential customers on pricing and installation options
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and positivity
  • Log daily interactions and sales outcomes
  • Adapt sales approach based on local dynamics
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in door-to-door sales or direct customer interaction (preferred but not required)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivation and accountability
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed
  • Willingness to learn new technology

What the company offers

  • $14.00/hr base pay plus $100 commission per sale
