Overview

Outsource is seeking an experienced Residential Low Voltage AV Installer to support projects across San Diego County. This role involves handling installations and servicing of residential audio visual and smart home systems, with a focus on reliable workmanship and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Install AV systems including TVs, projectors, and home theaters
  • Perform low voltage wiring for Cat6, speaker wire, coax, and control wiring
  • Build racks, mount equipment, and manage cable organization
  • Integrate smart home systems including Wi-Fi and control systems
  • Conduct pre-wiring, retrofitting, and finishing trim work in residential settings
  • Troubleshoot system issues and handle service calls
  • Communicate with homeowners, builders, and project managers

Required skills

  • 1-3+ years of residential low voltage or AV installation experience
  • Strong knowledge of cabling standards and best practices
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and construction plans
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools, and working in attics or crawl spaces
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong problem solving and customer service mindset
