Job Description

Overview

Bakerly LLC is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to ensure that its products and processes meet food regulation standards and certification requirements. This role will involve collaborating with various teams including R&D, QA, and Sales to manage compliance programs and monitor regulatory activities in the food industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with food regulations and labeling requirements.
  • Manage internal and external label approval processes for multi-country compliance.
  • Support regulatory compliance in new product development.
  • Generate and validate ingredient statements and nutritional information.
  • Coordinate compliance programs and certifications with suppliers.
  • Monitor and interpret emerging food regulations.
  • Manage regulatory documentation for customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Food Safety, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in food safety/regulatory management.
  • Knowledge of US, Canada, and Mexico food regulations.
  • Strong communication skills with varying levels of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, SQF, or other GFSI schemes.
  • Experience in internal auditing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office Visio.
  • Familiarity with ESHA Genesis and Zebra Designer preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/label automation systems preferred.
