Overview

Lane Enterprises Inc is seeking a Regional Engineer to serve as a technical expert on their products and support sales efforts in California and Utah. This role involves working with engineers, contractors, and agencies to advocate for Lane's drainage products and expand their market presence, with a mix of remote work and travel required.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as Lane's technical expert on drainage products and gain approvals
  • Collaborate with engineering agencies to expand product usage criteria
  • Support sales representatives by enhancing their technical knowledge
  • Instruct contractors on proper product installation methods
  • Identify new business opportunities and evaluate product compatibility
  • Lead the approval process for product inclusion in projects
  • Participate in planning and presentations at sales meetings
  • Develop promotional materials for Lane products
  • Assist in identifying potential sales representatives and regional engineers

Required skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in a related field or sales
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred
  • Civil engineering and stormwater experience preferred
