Overview

Lane Enterprises Inc is seeking a Regional Engineer to serve as the technical expert for Lane's products across Northern Virginia, Richmond, Tidewater, Maryland, and parts of Northeast North Carolina. This hybrid role combines remote work with travel to build client relationships and promote the company's drainage products to agencies and contractors.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical expert on Lane products to gain acceptance and approval
  • Work with engineering community and technical agencies to support marketing efforts
  • Expand usage criteria for Lane's drainage products with engineers and agencies
  • Support sales representatives with technical knowledge and promotion strategies
  • Instruct contractors on proper installation methods and rectify faulty installations
  • Identify new business opportunities for Lane's products
  • Evaluate potential new products for compatibility with current offerings
  • Lead the approval process for product inclusion in project applications
  • Participate in planning and presenting at sales meetings
  • Develop promotional materials for Lane products and applications
  • Assist in identifying potential sales representatives and regional engineers

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering or sales
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
