Overview

The Receiving Support Associate at Bloomingdale's plays a crucial role in the logistics and fulfillment operations of the store, ensuring efficient handling of merchandise and customer orders. This part-time position requires individuals who can navigate a fast-paced environment while valuing teamwork and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome customers on the selling floor
  • Support and administer new receipt processing according to company standards
  • Search and pick merchandise from the selling floor and stock rooms for all fulfillment types
  • Learn and apply packing policies and techniques for shipment
  • Participate in completing logistical initiatives, including RTV's, CDTs, price changes, and damages
  • Embrace and be proficient with technology during job functions

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups
  • Resourceful self-starter
  • Teamwork and adaptability to changing priorities
  • Ability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Physical capability to stand/walk for prolonged periods and lift/move up to 25 lbs
  • Proficiency with technology including computers and cash registers
