Overview

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Minneapolis is seeking a Humanities Interventionist to support high school students in building essential literacy skills through small-group instruction and collaboration. This full-time position requires strong engagement with classroom teachers to design and deliver targeted interventions in a supportive and data-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement Tier 2 and 3 academic interventions for students experiencing learning loss
  • Administer assessments to measure students' academic progress
  • Collaborate with Academic and Corporate Work Study teams
  • Support families regarding students' academic progress
  • Attend grade-team and department meetings
  • Engage in continuous learning about MTSS and best practices in intervention

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Secondary Education, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of high school or middle school teaching or tutoring experience
  • Knowledge of best practices in secondary education
  • Ability to connect with culturally and linguistically diverse students
  • Commitment to the mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
  • Completion of Virtus training and background check
  • Proficient in data management and analysis
  • Familiarity with PowerSchool, Excel, and Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Support Services (MTSS)
