Job Description

Overview

The RCM Specialist II at Paradigm Oral Surgery is responsible for managing accounts receivable processes within the revenue cycle team. The role involves ensuring timely resolution of unpaid claims, posting payments, processing refunds, auditing accounts, and maintaining compliance with various guidelines. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in revenue cycle management.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all assigned RCM activities in accordance with best practices and internal SOPs.
  • Conduct AR follow-up to resolve unpaid or underpaid claims, denials, and aged balances.
  • Audit accounts for accurate claim submission and payment resolutions.
  • Review and resolve credit balances; process refunds in compliance with regulations.
  • Post payments accurately and timely, including remittance reconciliations.
  • Work on AR aging reports to reduce days in AR and aged receivables.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of account activities and payer interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clean claims and quick issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss performance metrics and process improvements.

Required skills

  • Experience in Dental Office workflows and Revenue Cycle functions.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement and compliance processes with payors.
  • Proficient with practice management software and insurance portals.
  • Strong computer literacy and intermediate MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Excellent math, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Attention to detail and quality work ethic.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) preferred.
