Overview

SSM Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist II for their Interventional Radiology department in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves performing specialized imaging procedures and assisting the Radiologist and Physician Assistant, with a focus on patient safety and adherence to regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
  • Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Registered in Radiography and Interventional Radiography
  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • ARRT-VI certification for Vascular Interventional Radiography
  • ARRT-R certification in Radiography
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
